Thank you for purchasing Patchd. We stand behind our software and want you to be satisfied with your purchase. This Refund Policy explains the circumstances under which we offer refunds for purchases made through our website at patchd.studio.
Paddle as Merchant of Record
All purchases made through Patchd are processed by Paddle.com Market Ltd. ("Paddle"), our authorized reseller and Merchant of Record. As the Merchant of Record, Paddle is the seller of record for all transactions and handles all payment processing, tax compliance, refunds, and chargebacks on our behalf. By making a purchase, you agree to Paddle's Buyer Terms, available at https://www.paddle.com/legal/checkout-buyer-terms.
Refund Eligibility
We offer a fourteen (14) day refund window for all purchases, beginning on the date of purchase. To be eligible for a refund:
- The refund request must be initiated within fourteen (14) days of the original purchase date.
- You must provide proof of purchase, including your order ID or receipt number from Paddle and the email address used to make the purchase.
- The refund request must be made through one of the methods described below.
What Is Refundable
The following purchases are eligible for refund within the 14-day window:
- Patchd Pro tier ($19.99 one-time purchase)
- Patchd Studio tier ($39.99 one-time purchase)
- AI Assistant subscriptions (monthly recurring purchases)
- Add-ons including app skins, audio filters, additional virtual channels, voice effects, and other extensions
For subscription products (AI Assistant), refunds within the 14-day window will be issued for the current billing period. Refunds will not be issued for prior billing cycles that fell outside the 14-day window.
For add-on purchases, refunds are eligible within the 14-day window provided the add-on has not been used extensively. We reserve the right to deny refunds for add-ons that show clear patterns of use beyond evaluation purposes.
Discounted Items
Items purchased at a discount or as part of a promotional offer are eligible for refund under the same terms as regularly priced items. Refunds will be issued for the actual amount paid, not the original (non-discounted) price.
How to Request a Refund
You may request a refund through any of the following methods:
- Email our support team at support@patchd.studio with your order ID, the email address used for the purchase, and a brief explanation of your refund request.
- Contact Paddle directly through their buyer support portal at https://paddle.net.
- Use the refund request feature in your Patchd account dashboard (when available).
Refund Processing
Once a refund request is approved, refunds will be processed within approximately ten (10) business days. The refund will be issued through Paddle to the original payment method used for the purchase. You will receive an email confirmation from Paddle when the refund has been processed.
Please note that the time it takes for refunded funds to appear in your account depends on your bank or card issuer and is outside our control. Most refunds appear within five (5) to ten (10) business days of processing.
Cancellation of Subscriptions
You may cancel your AI Assistant subscription at any time. Cancellation can be done through:
- Your Patchd account dashboard (when available)
- Paddle's customer portal
- Contacting our support team at support@patchd.studio
Cancellations will take effect at the end of your current billing period. You will retain access to subscribed features through the end of the period you have paid for. We do not issue partial refunds for unused portions of a billing cycle unless the cancellation is within the 14-day refund window.
EU and UK Consumers
If you are a consumer located in the European Union or the United Kingdom, you have the right under applicable law to withdraw from your purchase within fourteen (14) days without giving any reason. This right is honored through our standard refund policy described above. To exercise this right, please contact support@patchd.studio with your withdrawal request before the 14-day period expires.
Please note that for digital content delivered immediately upon purchase, the right of withdrawal may be limited where you have expressly consented to immediate delivery and acknowledged the loss of withdrawal rights, in accordance with applicable consumer protection law.
Non-Refundable Circumstances
We reserve the right to deny refund requests in the following circumstances:
- The refund request is made more than fourteen (14) days after the original purchase date.
- The purchase shows evidence of fraud, abuse, or violation of our Terms of Service.
- The license has been activated and extensively used in a manner inconsistent with good-faith evaluation.
- Multiple refund requests are being submitted as part of a pattern of abuse.
- The user has previously been refunded and is attempting to repurchase and re-refund the same product.
Chargebacks
If you initiate a chargeback or payment dispute with your bank or card issuer instead of contacting us for a refund, we reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to Patchd, including any associated licenses, pending resolution of the dispute. We encourage you to contact us first at support@patchd.studio so we can resolve the issue directly.
Refund Decisions
We aim to handle refund requests fairly and promptly. Final refund decisions are at the discretion of Patchd and Paddle, in accordance with this policy and applicable law. If you believe a refund decision was made in error, please contact support@patchd.studio with additional details and we will review the case.
Changes to This Policy
We reserve the right to modify this Refund Policy at any time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Material changes will be communicated to users through reasonable means, including email notification.
